Lithuania is located in Eastern Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea, between Latvia and Russia. The terrain of Lithuania Alternating lowlands and highlands; many lakes, particularly in east, and rivers. Fertile soil. Forest and wood-lands 28 percent; mainly pine, spruce, and birch.

Climate: Lithuania is transitional, between maritime and continental; wet, moderate winters and summers.
