Italy is located in Southern Europe, it is a peninsula extending into the central Mediterranean Sea, northeast of Tunisia.The terrain of Italy is mostly rugged and mountainous; some plains, coastal lowlands.

Climate: Italy is predominantly Mediterranean; Alpine in far north; hot, dry in south.
